Convalescent plasma is the antibody-rich plasma(liquid portion of blood) of someone who has recovered from a virus, in this case COVID-19. This convalescent plasma is being evaluated as a possible treatment for current COVID-19 patients. Globally many clinical trials and studies are being conducted to determine the efficacy of this treatment method. In Nepal, Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC) along with 15 different hospitals have started an observational study by using Convalescent plasma from the COVID-19 survivors to help increase survival rate of critical patients of COVID-191.
